What the form collects

The inquiry form asks for a name, a way of reaching you, and a description of the floor. Every field is optional except one contact detail, because without that there is no way to reply.

What you send is used to answer you, and to carry out the work if you decide to go ahead. It is not sold, and it is not passed to anybody outside answering your inquiry or doing the job.

The phone number on this site reaches the same place, if you would rather not type anything.

Analytics

Flooring Masters Staten Island uses Google Analytics to understand how this website is found and used. It records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the kind of device and browser you use, and how you arrived. It sets cookies to do that.

It does not record your name, your phone number, your email address or anything you type into the inquiry form. Those go to us and only to us, and are never sent to Google. Advertising features are switched off. A visit that moves between our own websites is followed across them so that it counts once. Those websites are flooringmastersbronx.com, flooringmastersbrooklyn.com, flooringmastersmanhattan.com, flooringmastersny.com, flooringmastersqueens.com and flooringmastersstatenisland.com, and your visit is not followed to any other website.

Google may process this data outside your country. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics also works, and blocking it does not affect the inquiry form or anything else on this site.

Phone calls

Calls to the phone numbers on this website may be recorded and transcribed, so that we can follow up on your inquiry accurately. A recording is kept by us and used for nothing else.

The map in the footer

Every page carries a Google map in its footer showing where this business is listed. The map is loaded from Google rather than from this site, so when it loads your browser contacts Google directly and Google receives your IP address and can set its own cookies, in the same way it would if you opened Google Maps yourself.

It is set to load only when you scroll near it, so on a visit where you never reach the footer it is never requested at all.

Nothing about your inquiry, your name or your contact details is sent to Google as part of this. The map is a picture of a place and it does not know who is looking at it.

Cookies

There are no advertising cookies on this site and no advertising trackers.

The analytics described above may set a cookie so that a returning visit is recognised as the same visit rather than a new one. The footer map may set Google's own cookies when it loads. Whether either can is controlled by your browser, and blocking them stops no part of this site working.

How long it is kept

An inquiry is kept while it is live and for a sensible period after, so that if you come back about the same floor there is a record of what was discussed.

Analytics data is held under the retention settings of the analytics service. It is not connected to your inquiry.

Asking about your information

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Get in touch through the contact page or by phone and say what you would like done.

A request to delete an inquiry is acted on, unless part of it is needed to finish work that is already under way.
